Our chosen Appin hotel The Airds Hotel
at a delightful Highland village, Port Appin. We know it well, our whole family spent the Millenium celebrations there. Tony and Cherie Blair had their honeymoon there.
The furnishings are gorgeous, the service is out of the top drawer, the food is at Michelin level. Very expensive whichever way you look at it but not as pricey as the Inverlochy castle.

Frankly, we stick to our belief that in the West of Scotland good b&b offers much better facilities and warmth than hotels at much lower cost.
The B&B owners’ own websites are much more difficult to find through normal searching.
