It has all been modernised since the days of the 19th century slate quarries. It is a real tourist centre for all the amenities, churches, doctors everything is here.

When we bought our cottage around the corner in Kentallen, it was February 22 years
ago. I stayed at Loch Leven Hotel It was in an exquisite location. I looked out of
the bedroom window, across the Loch Leven narrows, where it races at half tide, and
up into the horsehoe curve of Beinn Beithir, the Dragon’s Tooth mountain. The emotion

Stay at the other two big ones if you are a fan of coach parties and mass marketing. Use simple English phrases with the staff, that works best.
Loch Leven hotel is not part of the VisitScotland quango with their grading system. That suits us fine.
In this region, if you don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money, then there are just two hotels in the entire area that we would ourselves stay. The Loch Leven Hotel is one, and the Holly Tree is the other.
