HOTELS, GUEST HOUSES AND BED AND BREAKFASTS IN THE WEST COAST AND ARDNAMURCHAN AREA
Our chosen West Coast hotel, The Kilcamb Lodge at Strontian village about 30 minutes from the Corran Ferry. We know it personally and it is in a lovely village with wonderful loch views. Guest reviews are good but the prices are top end. Food is excellent, and the service is good.
Over 30 Hotels and Guest houses and Bed and breakfast premises around The West Coast and Ardnamurchan region from Undiscovered Scotland pages. There is not a huge amount of accommodation in this large region, so pick your intended location carefully. You will not have a lot of choice when you get there.
The welcome is always warm, the people are very accommodating and that counts for a lot
Our Conclusion
Frankly, we believe that good bed and breakfasts offer much better facilities and warmth than the normal hotels at much lower cost. However, if you are prepared to pay the prices there is a good hotel at Glenfinnan, and a good one at Arisaig.
This is not an easy area for accommodation. Self catering is always the cheapest

This is the oldest part of the entire country, beautiful, remote, stunning, spectacular. The crater of the great volcano which formed the Highland mountains 40 millon years ago can be seen at Britain’s most westerly point. Breathtaking, all of it.
This is the area of small communities living on the isles, the place for whale watching, wild life, cruising around the islands

For self catering in Scotland’s West Coast, you will not beat Sheila’s lovely crofts and lodges at beautiful Arisaig, with views overlooking the Inner Isles, Skye, Eigg and Rhum. Not far from the Mallaig ferry.
