Port Appin is a lovely little hamlet, with a passenger ferry to Lismore. Typical Highland village It is just off the A828 between Glencoe 25 mins and Oban 20 minutes.

HOTELS in PORT APPIN
The Airds Hotel is a small country house, with traditional decor. Gillian and I spent the Millenium there with our whole family. It was a very welcoming place but at a very high price. The Allens, who owned it then were very warm hosts. Under the new owners the restaurant is undoubtedly still at a very high standard.
Most reviews are top class, but too many people are looking for Loews Hotel in Monaco. This is the remote West Highlands of Scotland. It is a trifle pricey, but it is not the most expensive in the Region, but it is considerably better than the most expensive.
There is another hotel on the Pier Itself with a good restaurant.
THE ISLE of ERISKA in nearby Benderloch
The hotel has wonderful reviews, it has 5 stars, bit of a novel route to get there.
We are never going to forgive it for years ago, 15 at least, refusing Gillian and
I a cup of coffee when we went there in November with the rain lashing down. No doubt
we would get a cup to-

There are few B&Bs in the area. Sorry. But undoubtedly if you searched around the area you would find some really nice traditional ones.
B&Bs in Port Appin There are only about three. Kinlochlaich house is very good, 17th century traditional country house, we don ‘t know the others, probably excellent as well.
B&Bs in Lismore. There are only three on the community website. We bet they are very traditional and very good. But we are guessing
